Inspirations…A Tribute to Guy Bourdin
The Parisian photographer, Guy Bourdin, was known for his color soaked, trashy and sexual pictures! He was one of the first to understand that style was not a matter of clothes but a sense of allure (you could spend a fortune on clothes and not being able to wear them but you can also get the cheapest item and no matter how you wear it…It will look amazing on you!), mystery and decadence.
His frames were anything but classic! He was a specialist to place models in awkward poses and surprising situations, cropping their bodies and mixing them with surrealistic objects! Bright colors and strong contrasts, he was definitely the one to turn fashion photography into a whole world of contemporary art!
He gave fashion photography another dimension and a huge source of inspirations for photographers like David Lachapelle and Steven Meisel.

In both videos, find the models head surrounded by colorful plastic pieces like wrapped flowers.
Plastic is definitely a trend for this upcoming season!
